Dear Registered Architects,
Over the past few months, local social unrest has hit the local economy hard. The buildings and construction industry has suffered a heavy blow and would still be very much hard-hit and facing a lot of uncertainties.
To counter the increasingly challenging economic environment, and to recuperate support for the architectural profession, the ARB has decided to adopt a one-off reduction on the fee of application for registration and renewal starting 1 January 2020 for Registered Architects (“RAs”) with registration expiring in 2020.
Please see the following new fee structure:
For RAs whose registration (br /> expiring on 31 March 2020, 30 June 2020 30 September 2020, 31 December 2020 |

All RAs will be notified of their renewal in the form specified by the Board not earlier than 3 months and not later than 28 days prior to the expiry of the current registration under section 16(2) of the Architects Registration Ordinance (Cap. 408).
The foregoing fee reduction will last for one year during 2020.
