Amendments of HKIA/ARB Professional Assessment (PA) Handbook

Dear prospective PA candidates,

With the objective of upholding the professional standard, the Institute has reviewed the existing PA Handbook and the amended PA Handbook will be effective from PA 2017 except amendment 4 which has been effective from PA2016.

The amendments cover the following areas :
1. Entry qualification of taking PA (Section 2.5 of PA Handbook);
2. Admission criteria and format of assessment for the route of Non-Local Architectural Professionals (Section 3 of PA Handbook);
3. Inclusion of PRC Class I Registered Architect as one of the national professional qualification recognized for admission via the route of Non-Local Architectural Professionals. 4. Revised open-book arrangement (Appendix G and H of the PA Handbook); and
5. Deletion of exemption of papers
