Dear Registered Architects,

Architects Registration Board, HKSAR (“ARB”), is a statutory body formed under the Architects Registration Ordinance (Cap. 408) and is empowered to provide for the registration of architects and disciplinary control of the professional activities of registered architects, and for related matters. It operates with the following four Committees enacted by sections 9(b) and 17 of the Ordinance:

o Education and Accreditation Committee (“EAC”)
o House Committee
o Legal Affairs Committee (“LAC”); and
o Registration Committee (“RC”).

On behalf of ARB, I write to invite your indication of interest to participate in our two Committees (LAC and RC) for term starting 1 September 2020 – 16 May 2022. Attached please find the list of ARB Committees and the relevant term of reference for your information. By serving on the Committees, you will be able to gain experience in ARB’s operation and contribute to the advancement of its works and services.

The key requirements on Committee member are:
1. Willingness to contribute to provide discerning inputs; and
2. Commitment to share the workload of the Committees.

Frequency of the Committee meetings will be determined by respective Committee Chairpersons.

If you are interested in joining the Committee(s), please complete the reply slip stating your preferences and return it to the Secretariat by 21 July 2020.

The selection and appointment of members to Committees will be at the discretion of the ARB. Notification of appointment for 2020-2022 will be made in August 2020.
