Dear Registered Architects,
The Architects Registration Board, HKSAR, is invited by the Buildings Department (“BD”) to nominate 5 Registered Architects (“RAs”) to the Authorized Persons’, Registered Structural Engineers’ and Registered Geotechnical Engineers’ Disciplinary Board (“AP RSE RGE DB”) Panel. The tenure of appointment will be 3 years commencing 1 April 2021.
Criteria as set by the BD
| (a) | MUST be an Authorized Person (“AP”); |
| (b) | Must NOT be a member of the following Committees: - Authorized Persons Registration Committee OR - Structural Engineers Registration Committee and Geotechnical Engineers’ Registration Committee OR - Contractors Registration Committee OR - Minor Works Contractors Registration Committee; |
| (c) | Should NOT be serving more than 6 government boards or committees concurrently (including the proposed nomination to serve in AP RSE RGE DB Panel); |
| (d) | Should NOT have sat in the AP RSE RGE DB Panel for more than 6 years by end of March 2021. |
| (e) | Younger person where appropriate is preferred. |
Hearing will be conducted on need-basis and panel member appointed as member of the disciplinary board will be remunerated at HK$2,500 per day / HK$1,250 per half day, inclusive of traveling expenses.
Since the captioned Panel is an important external representation, ARB prefers the nominees to possess at least 15-year RA and AP experiences. In order to assist ARB in assessing the nominees, please complete and return the following:
- Form 1 (as required by BD);
- Form 2 (as required by ARB);
- Your up-to-date CV
To ensure a well-balanced representation, ARB would take into account gender balance and all age groups in participation in such advisory and statutory bodies, where appropriate.
